15. I think the issue with playing 'uke' characters is, that the 'seme' player does all the work. This probably combines with me agreeing with 2. as well. Mitsuhide is Ranmaru's uke. XD

1. I just wish people would stop role-playing characters when they didn't really have a clue as to who and what those characters are.

3. True, still it is nice when other people like your writing. On the other hand when I get a review where someone is gushing about my writing as though it was the most perfect thing in the universe I start twitching and begin to wonder if I've picked up a stalker.

4. Hmmm I had the opposite reaction. I thought Cloud was a wee bit less emo in AC than in the game. When I played the game I kept muttering, "what the hell is wrong with you, snap out of it!"

7. The problem isn't the pairing, the problem is people who mangle these characters' personality to fit their own weird agenda.

15 - ... you know, I don't think I've ever played an uke before? *dies* I kinda wonder what it's like sometimes but then I think about typing stuff like "oh yeah my character uh blushes and trembles and angsts" or something and go aghakejg augh I can't do this!

I remember the first RP log I -ever- did was with shahnichan (I had like no concept that yaoi existed at the time) and her character was all blah blah i dominat u! and mine was like what? lolz yeah rite, and she was like "!! I've found my son ♥ ♥ ♥"

2. Holy fucking god, yes. Yes, yes, yes. I can only submit to that sort of RPing partnership for so long before I explode into a million pieces due to my overwhelming frustration. I CANNOT RUN A GODDAMN PLOT MYSELF, DAMMIT. Well, I can, it just would completely kill the purpose of having an RP partner.

5. ... er, can't the SAME thing be said of fanfiction, etc? I mean, think about it, unless you're the author/artist of that fandom, you CAN'T be *completely* in character; you didn't make 'em... But, yea, on the lesser elitist note, bad fan material = woes.

11. HAHAHAHA, yes... well, you see, everyone seems to have it in their head that because the teenage years are filled with hormonal woes, teenage characters should be walking hornballs. Well, as often as guys think about sex, I really do believe that they manage to focus on OTHER things once in a blue moon. AND YOU CAN WRITE ABOUT THEM, REALLY.

13. Sephiroth. Ah, well, what can I say about him? He is horribly overrated. I mean, I can see why so many people worship him... :\ But, over the years, it's lost it's charm, and for god sakes... HE REALLY WASN'T ALL THAT BADASS. [His theme was, though.]

15. I have a problem with this for the reasons everyone else seems to. Whenever anyone states those kinds of things? IT SCREAMS OF POINTLESS SMUT RP, WITH ME PLAYING A STEREOTYPICAL SEME TO A WHINY UKE, AS I DO ALL THE GODDAMN WORK. I've got no interest whatsoever in doing that, which is why I say WORD, because I'd *much* rather KILL THE UKE instead of doing it. :D -Rant.-

#3 - too true! I write for myself, not for anyone else (unless I'm writing something for someone else)

#15 - Yes! I admit I like to play uke's but they're always switchable and I have just as many seme characters too. When RPing I never tell someone "I'm only a uke or my character is only . . ." I won't RP with others who do it either

I wish people would stop trying to roleplay characters that are OBVIOUSLY smarter than them in real life.

I'm not mean enough to tell them "you're being Out of Character because you're just TOO DUMB".
