I don't see what that statement has to do with what happened, because she was NOT fired for political views. She was fired for spewing hate against a group of people. Hating people is not the same as politics.

If you genuinely think that hating other human beings for who they are, innately, is political, I don't know how to tell you any different.

Carano's "politics" made her an ACTIVELY HOSTILE person to work with, because her "politics" involved stating that she viewed Pedro Pascal's sister as less than human, as less than deserving of basic rights, and that's a DAMN good reason to get kicked off a TV set. If you come even indirectly for the family of the person with top billing, they get to say they cannot work with you. That he tried for as long as he did to de-hostile the workplace as she became increasingly hostile is more than many would have given her, when the show did not revolve around her character and could be written without her.
