Both are really good. I personally disagree but I can respect your stance.

I kind of agree, actually.
EEAAO is beautiful, masterful film making with a tight story and a clear vision and amazing cast. Also, I hated the ending. Maybe I missed something but it felt very "Nah I'm never gonna let you be your own person, daughter of mine. Sure you're gay but HEAVEN HELP YOU IF YOU GO OFF TO LIVE YOUR OWN LIFE AWAY FROM ME AND YOUR DAD."

NOPE was...dense. But also unique and pretty.

YES! I agree! And that's what soured me to EEAAO, too. Like it is an awesome movie with great visions and an amazing premise (how little we get of sci-fi/fantasy premise where the lead character is An Ordinary Mom), and I liked its overall message, but - and I admit I am projecting/biased here - as an East Asian born from first generation parents who had similar experiences like the daughter, the resolution disappointed me.

Sometimes, letting your kid GO is a healthier way to reestablish bonds. It was for me.

Haven't seen either of them yet.

I loved Nope so much. Such a beautiful and unsettling movie. And it's being sort of western at the end is just *chef's kiss*. People saying it's the worst Peele's movie make me said.

big agree, actually!
also got soured on the ending of EEAAO, and I guess this is a "spot a person with mommy issues" in here with all of us who disliked it haha.
but yeah, Nope was just phenomenal. like, I loved it after the very first watch, but then I rewatched it 5 times in a week because I wanted to see the details again. it's just so good ahhh!
