I've been there three times. Gambled with $20 the first time just to see what the fuss was about. Never did it again cause it was boring as shit.

The first time I went with my mom we just did the Strip, lots of interesting things to do in the casinos that aren't gambling (rides, shows, etc). Saw Penn and Teller and (this is probably dating myself) did the Star Trek experience. Be prepared for a LOT of walking, those casinos are HUGE.

Second time I went with my mom we used it as a base of operations to do country side tours - we went to Death Valley and saw some old abandoned mining towns and went to Area 51. I think you can also get to the Grand Canyon from there.

Third time I went with my wife, who had never been and wanted to do a race there (she's a marathon runner). Did the strip again, saw Cirque du Soleil. I think at this point I'm Vegas'd out.

Oh yeah, I'd love to see Cirque du Soleil. Seems like a fun time. I love walking so that shouldn't be an issue. I do plan on going in the fall when it isn't so ungodly hot.
