I feel like Willie Jack and Cheese were growing up and maturing while Bear and Elora were still in stupid kiddie bullshit and ultimately that's why they were all drifting apart.

You're right, WJ and Cheese did nothing wrong, they were just moving beyond.

That makes sense. I wish the show hadn't focused so much on Elora and Bear's boring BS, though, or that Willie J and/or Cheese had addressed the childish absurdity of the split more.
