(Anonymous) 2023-05-20 12:15 am (UTC)(link)Funnily enough, in Mexico, the song 'Mi Corazón Encantado' (Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku), the OP from Dragon Ball GT, is a popular wedding song in geeky circles. And honestly, it's actually heartwarming.
The song is about romance and marriage, and the most memorable time it is played is on the series' ending. I think that it why it hits a lot of people right in the heart, because they associate it as the ending of a journey.

So it's kind of that, but in reverse? Like the journey is over, now that they've found each other?
At any rate, can't underestimate the emotional load of anime/game music and the associations they carry to the fans.
