The SW fandom isn't a monolith but it is full of loud and angry bad faith actors that just love to hate things because that gets them more views. They love using one SW property as a stick to beat others with and that's why their views change.

TFA was used as a stick to beat the prequels with. Then the Mandalorian was used to beat the sequels, and now Andor is the new favorite that's beating down the Mandalorian. It's all so see-through.

There are a lot of SW YouTubers making money off the outrage machine. They have a vested interest in feeding this cycle. And that's not even getting into the white supremacy that's rampant among those people.
