I agree that the poster is vastly overestimating. Though I do think AI will be increasingly used in scripts, animation etc. just like CGI is - filling in background details, covering budget shortfalls, cheaper than using people who have a union...

Especially looking at the writer's strike. Which sucks because "lol we don't even need you, we'll just get the AI to write your shit, bye!" will likely be the future reaction to any and all writer strikes. Another field where AI will be used much more heavily and potentially replace a lot of real jobs is in concept art.

With the quality of a lot of the writing for big-budget movies, I really wonder if they've been trying this for a while and hoping people won't notice the difference. And were hoping they could say "SURPRISE! This movie you loved was written by AI! See, now you can't tell us it sucks, because before you knew it, you didn't think it sucked!"

And ... that didn't really work. So instead, they're pretending it's a new thing they're doing, and hyping it accordingly.
