With the quality of a lot of the writing for big-budget movies, I really wonder if they've been trying this for a while and hoping people won't notice the difference. And were hoping they could say "SURPRISE! This movie you loved was written by AI! See, now you can't tell us it sucks, because before you knew it, you didn't think it sucked!"

And ... that didn't really work. So instead, they're pretending it's a new thing they're doing, and hyping it accordingly.
