I didn't care for Rossi when he first joined the team, but I feel that was a deliberate writing decision. What I loved was that he grew as a character until he did vibe and fit in really well with everyone else. I ended up liking him way more than Gideon, who never felt truly integrated with the other members on the same level. No idea how that might've changed in later seasons, though... but nice to see that they let Joe Mantegna revert to his salt and pepper look, which suits him well, IMO.

I like being able to watch Rossi. I would not want to INTERACT with Rossi.

he works for me because he provides a certain balance to the team (and...yeah I'll say it, I like that they didn't limit his love interests to white women; the character had few preferences and I really liked that). I definitely he works specifically because of the dynamics with the others.

His personality was okay (not so much at first, but soon) - it was Gideon I really disliked, from start to finish, and was glad when he left.

Aw. Why didn't you like Gideon? Only character I disliked was Elle.

He was just so patronizing, I dunno. He always rubbed me the wrong way. But then, I don't particularly like that actor in most of the things he's done, other than Princess Bride.
