I feel this. Unfortunately, most of the fandoms that I have been in previously had about 1-4 long fics max with the rest being either short fics or unfinished WIPs (although I'm in no position to complain since I'm the one writing short fics in my current fandom now, because I have no patience to write anything longer than 6,000 words :'D)

My favorite fandoms for long fics are Sherlock Holmes (ACD version) and the Hobbit (book version). Lovely, long, plotty stories with wonderful characterization and settings.
I wish you luck, OP, finding some fandom to satisfy your fic needs!

Also same. I've been browsing old fandoms but just nothing is catching my interest and I long for a good quality long fic.

If you liked plotty Harry Potter fics, plotty Friendship is Magic fics seem up your aisle.

I've been saying this for a few weeks on F!S, but if you like Harry Potter and you like MCU you will probably like My Hero Academia, which is basically a cross between the two premise and vibe-wise. Plus it's a huge fandom with a lot of longfic to choose from.

well, I went from HP and MCU to the Untamed, where I've been hanging out for at least two years now. I recommend 'And Time is but a Paper Moon' by Sami at that AO3 as a starting point, because it requires no canon knowledge. And because it is what dragged me in to this fandom, after it was recommended by someone whose reading tastes are similar to mine. It is a long and complicated time travel fix it, and there are multiple variations.
