(Anonymous) 2023-05-29 12:45 am (UTC)(link)I saw a study one time that claimed that women were attracted to men with face shapes that indicated higher testosterone around the start of the menstrual cycle (compared to what they rated as appealingly attractive the rest of the time), and thought "oh, is that what gives guy's faces that sleek look and the sharp definition around their cheekbones and chins?"
I was also kind of amused at how closely it matched what I had in my head as sort of the stereotypical villain look - the sort of face that older literature would compare to a hungry wolf.
