I don't have quite the same problem as you, but I get overwhelmed and lost when my plotbunnies sprawl. If I see a story unfolding in my head chronologically, I'm fine, I can write that. But when it feels more like I plugged into the matrix and uploaded a thousand scenes, impressions, and feelings about a story that no one else has any idea exists ... getting it to EXIST feels impossible.
