... Now I want to see Amelie actually get out of Montmarte. Or The Piemaker and Chuck take a vacation to Paris so they can cross-over, but never actually MEET one another, just have zany misadventures that keep bringing them to the same places and affecting each other, even though they never meet face to face. I have no idea why, I just... do.

Awww...I would love that if someone were to write it ♥ If they just kept missing each other, like Chuck and Ned leaving a cafe and Amelie arrives just after, and things. [Except that sort of thing would obviously work better visually, not as fic, but whatever]

Exactly! It just seems... proper somehow if they never interacted directly. Just... keep a respectful distance to each other, let the others identity be an amusing little mystery. But yes, that would be better as an actual episode of the show rather than a fic...

I don´t think this should be a secret. They are stilistic similar and if you are american its understandable you didn´t watch a french movie until someone pointed it out the resembleance to something to love. Me? I watched the movie in the cinema on the opening day.

There's a song in the first episode of Pushing Daisies that's in Amelie (I can't remember where, but it's on the soundtrack at least). That was when I knew I was going to love Pushing Daisies.

That's odd, I love Pushing Daisies but didn't care too much for Amelie. I thought it was visually stunning and quirky but I though the plot was a bit...lacking.

Of course I was 13 when I watched it so maybe I'll think differently now.

Oh my god! When I'm done checking whether someone's done something similar, I am totally going to join the comm and picspam it :D I thoroughly enjoyed making the secret (it took over a freaking HOUR, but hey) and I have spare images I didn't use...

Luckily, I how have until June 30, apparently!
