Look, I don't ship them at all either, and I disagree with making Allen a romance-obsessed helpless innocent uke, but there's no reason to judge people just for liking a pairing!

If they like the pairing because they want to copy-paste yaoi stereotypes on the characters and totally ignore their personalities, then I'll think less of them. Not before.

I think I only kind of get this. Personally, I'm hoping they have 616!Fury's attitude in Ultimate!Fury body...

Then again, it's Samuel L Jackson playing Nick Fury. When I saw Iron Man, I had no idea about Ultimate's existence, or the fact that he was already there, being all Samuel-L-Jackson-as-Nick-Fury, and when I saw him come out, I SQUEED with joy, the concept seemed so awesome.

So yeah. I think I only kind of get this.

That's a shame. The Wire is an amazing show and deserves a fandom and plenty of fic.

I also think it's a shame that you think it's too much trouble to try to research and write characters as well as you can, no matter what color they are, just because you're afraid of making mistakes and/or having them pointed out to you. You should try and do your best, if the characters speak to you, same as with any writing you do.
