You're not lame. It was specifically noted that Parkinson wore pink because it was supposed to look garish next to Hermione's elegant dress robes. It's nice to see a fan who actually knows what's in the books, actually. I feel like such a dork when I get nit-picky and go, "That's totally not in the book" or something.

Whenever I point that out my friends are like OMG GET OVER IT IT DOESN'T MATTER but it does! Did they even read the book? Do they have any concept of literary stuff? Obviously not.

Of course, movie!Hermione would wear gross Pansy robes.

I can deal with the fact that movies and books are different mediums and that it's necessary to cut certain events and it's necessary to murder the back story, but why did they have to do this to Hermione's character?
