circumstances were not the best. we were roomies at an all-girls christian college. Go figure. we were/are big anime fiends... I got married years after we left uni and she waited until my wedding day to share the news. Nope. My fault completely. In the end i think I was more angry at myself than anything. As I said in the secret... I wish her and her lover the best because I want nothing more than for her to be happy, even if it's not with me.

Now it's more like the sort of affection someone has for an ex they parted on good terms with, for which I am grateful. It only became that way after I became serious with the man that would be my husband, which by that time I had convinced myself that she would never feel the same way I had about her and was prepared to move on. And me and my hub only knew each other a few months before getting married... my decision was still fairly fresh so it hurt alot when she came out. Her gf is a lovely person too... a really sweet girl. I'm happy for them both actually :)

They are positively radiant when around each other and seem to be made for each other so I don't feel any jealousy towards the new "Anthy". So, in a way, part of me thinks that, maybe, me not getting the courage to tell her was a good thing. After all, they would have missed out on each other...

This is probably the saddest thing I've ever seen. I'm married now, and the woman I have lingering feelings for is engaged, and we're both totally happy...but if she found out how I've felt for years, and I found out that she felt the same way....I don't know how I could even deal.

Oh, and before any of you pass judgement, this is something I've talked about with my husband. He knows I never was with a woman, and that I never will be now that we're married, and that she's sort of "the one that got away" for me...AND he knows that that's OK with me, because I'm in love with him, and he matters to me above all else.

I'm just sayin', I can feel you on this one, in a way. ::hugs::
