I love Euphy so much, she was my favorite. Her and Lulu, her and Cornelia (hdgfjhkgjh), and Her with Suzaku. But ultimately, I think that if she had not died, if things hadn't fallen out the way they had with her, that she and Lulu could have done good things in that world without all that death.

Finding doujin of it is HARD though. Not that I look anymore. XD

Okay, I don't have a problem with you or your ship, so I'm not going to bash it, but... explicitly canon? Seriously?

Haha, well, okay. Explicitly canon is a bit extreme, but I didn't make the secret? I just agree with it in general.

To be honest, I think it was more of a "OMG SOMEONE ELSE SHIPS THIS? AWESOME" comment then me really reading the secret for what it's worth.

He actually does say "Bye, Euphy. You were my first love," in the show.Or, in the dub, "Bye, Euphy. You may have been the first woman I ever loved."

It's pretty hard to take in any way other than romantic. I've seen non-incest fans struggle and squirm when it comes to these two, because it's kind of hard to deny when he openly admits to it.

Also, she mentions at least once that she wanted to marry him when she was a kid.

*points* This. I don't think that they, y'know, DID each other or that they really thought about what the half-sibling thing would mean, but I think in their innocent youth they felt it as romantic love.

Peevy of me, but explicitly canon is a pretty damn specific thing. Using it to mean things that aren't explicitly canon just makes it seem like you don't know what one or the other of those words mean.

What's wrong with "the subtext was so obvious a blind fan could see it"? or "It's soooo damn easy to misinterpret their sibling bond for romantic." But it isn't explicitly canon unless canon explicitly says "these siblings aren't just close, they are romantically in love." Which, you know, some canons do (Hai there V.C. Andrews!)

He says "Bye, Euphie... you were my first love."

If that's not explicitly canon, I don't know what is.

Eeeehhhh... maybe. That sounds like she never knew it until he confessed it on his death bed (or maybe hers -- someone is dying here). I guess you could claim a one sided incestuous attraction is canon.

Well... she and another of his sisters also talked about how they fought over who would marry him, when they were kids. Which could be more easily explained away as childish misunderstanding, maybe... but then the other sister asked her if she still loved him now and she went all quiet.

Hm. >_> Maybe not quite explicit-explicit-explicit canon, because presumably she then mentioned the other guy she was interested in at that point, but yes, they both had slightly-more-than-simply-familial feelings for one another at certain points in their lives according to canon.

Oh, and yes, it was kind of her death bed. He'd just fatally shot her, for various reasons. Though we don't know if she actually heard him or not --- she was busy going "... why?"

There's more than one way to love someone. Loving your mother does not mean you want to fuck her (hopefully). I don't think the love here was meant to be romantic or sexual.

... I don't think you'd be telling your mother "you were my first love," though, whether she was on her death bed or not. I do think things leaned a lot more explicitly towards the romantic for those two, if not sexual, but I don't think I'd call it a canon relationship myself -- just that the depth of feeling was obviously there.

I DUNNO LELOUCH KIND OF HAS A HUGE MOM COMPLEX TOO -- *slaps self* Sorry. Um. Yeah, the way he said and phrased it and the way they spoke about one another, there's no way it was just supposed to be the family love thing.

Yeah, that's actually pretty much what I meant. Maybe it sounded like I thought they had a sexual relationship with one another, but no, I just think it's pretty darn explicitly canon that there were some more-than-familial feelings between them.

I wouldn't call the RELATIONSHIP aspect of it canon, but Lelou's romantic feelings for Euphemia are canon. There's some subtext on Euphie's side for it, apparently, but I never really saw it because I have for serious subtext failure. To me her feelings were him were purely familial.

I like this pairing well enough. I think I would have preferred a threesome end with Suzaku, Euphie, and Lelouch. How adorable would that have been? Pretty damn adorable.
