Also on the "my life was better then than it had been in years" train. I was already working from home because of health issues, but since the ENTIRE TEAM now was working from home, my boss set up a Discord for us and I actually got to interact with my coworkers and was more "in the loop" than I'd been in ages. Also more places started delivering or ordering curbside service, and this meant that I no longer had to do the thing where I would try driving to the store to get things I needed and then be in so much pain from sitting up to drive that I couldn't actually walk into the store, and had to just drive home again without my stuff. Now I knew that if I could at least make it to the store, someone would bring my stuff to me, and it wouldn't be wasted effort. Events went remote and online, so that I could "attend" no matter whether I could get out of bed or not. My church livestreamed (and still does!) on YouTube, so I didn't have to wait until the Sunday sermon was up and always lag a week behind. I actually felt like I had a real life for the first time in many years, and just doing the things I needed to do to exist was so much less painful.

There were SO MANY accessibility things that were implemented then - because able-bodied folks needed them. It's really depressing how many of those features that improved life drastically for disabled folks are now being done away with because "only disabled people" need them.
