Re: #1 got me wondering

I started working from home when my health got worse and worse about 9 years ago. At the time we had a guy working remote from Virginia (his wife got a job there and they moved, but there was no reason he couldn't keep doing what he was doing) so I asked boss's boss if I could also work remote, and she okayed it. They tried to put me back in the office when she retired, and I wrote a passive-aggressive little reply to HR asking what accommodations I might need, like "well, I was planning on bringing an air mattress for my cubicle because most days after sitting up for several hours I'm not going to be safe driving home. Also planning on bringing a mini-fridge so I'll have something to eat and drink overnight in those cases. So I'm pretty well covered!" After a day or so they got back and said I could continue working from home, heh.

If I couldn't work from home, I'd have to be on disability (which would be horrible in so many ways), I literally have days where I can't even get dressed, let alone sit up and drive, and then sit in a chair for hours. So yeah, I love working from home.
