To carry on from the other post, what books are you reading right now?

Dead Things by Stephen Blackmore on recommendation from a twitter friend, and the Moonstone by Wilkie Collins because I am a sucker when my dad asks me to read things lol. I already put my foot down about the Odyssey though. xD

Mentioned the series I'm in the middle of above, but as I wait for the library to get me the next books I have started Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. It hasn't immediately grabbed me, but I'm going to try and give it a bit since it came so highly recommended from multiple people.

Imogen, Obviously by Becky Albertalli. I’m enjoying it so far.

My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh

Almost done with the book. What a rough read. Wouldn't want to read again.

I like the book because it does speak quite loud on how cynicism and isolation can pull one into a self loathing world. I can see how some people might read this wrong and be like "wow I want to have money to take all the meds and sleep through all the shittiness of life" though

What's wrong with wanting to sleep through the shitty parts?
