same! I love the look of old-tech-looking machines in sci-fi, they look so much more alive than the slick, modern tech-looking sci-fi.

You are incredibly right, and correct, and wise, and right. It's a great aesthetic. Is this what people are talking about when they talk about faxpunk, because if so, I'm all in.

I love this too. I'm a big fan of it, many of its iterations globally. Where is this from specifically and please share any recs, OP or anyone else! Anime, cartoons (don't care the language), books, movies, comic books, whatever!

i like cheesy futurism, so more 80s than 90s fan myself, but I agree about liking older stuff more (there's something too soon(?) about some futurism now)
