Its the fic, friend. I did the same thing, until I realized I was comparing my relationship to relationships that didn't exist, and never actually would, either, because they were the always-perfect inventions of their author's imaginations. I also realized that the old saying "comparison is the thief of joy" was true. I know its tough/odd sometimes but honestly reminding oneself on a regular basis that fic and irl are two very different things helps a lot. Good luck, nonny.
