Huh....
A lot of the time, the 'ships I wrote in fic (and read) were ones that would make my skin crawl off my body (lovers can read each other's thoughts? cuddling for hours in bed? hell to the fucking NO), so that wasn't ever an issue.

Plus, I guess, being IN a 'ship since I was...15? kind of gave me enough RL info that i was never going to mistake fic for life.

I'm sorry you're feeling disappointed, OP - I hope you can find an irl friendship or relationship that satisfies.
