Uh, yeah, I’m not gonna blindly support and promote Candace Owens simply because she’s black because she’s actively espousing rhetoric that results in the death and suffering of real life people (or trying to shit on already dead people and imply they deserve it). Being a “pick me” because you want to be one of the good ones and partake in the privilege of the dominant hegemony has been a thing since the dawn of time and is right to be called out. I hope Blair White takes solace in the knowledge that her side has openly told her to her face that she needs to “grow her beard out” and that her existence is a blight on the human race (yes this happened). No amount of petty death threats on the internet fucking matters when you’ve got right wing legislation actively trying to genocide trans people, or major right representatives like Matt Walsh and Michael Knowles celebrating when real life queer people get shot up. But you don't have to look far to find better ones. TRAs on Twitter were gloating and posting stuff like "rest in piss" at Robbie Coltrane's death (the actor who played Hagrid) because he spoke out in support of JK Rowling.

Yeah, how it seemed to me, too. But it stuck in my mind because previously they were making much of the fact that the most prominent actors who spoke out on her behalf were Jason Isaacs, Helena Bonham Carter, and Ralph Fiennes. (Can't remember if Alan Rickman did or not.) And then they were savage about this guy for breaking their assertion that "the only ones defending her played death eaters!!"

And that's an assertion that they keep trotting out, in spaces where it can be safely assumed people didn't bother to keep up with Potter cast gossip.
