Do you ever delete playlists or tags or bookmarks for old fandoms?

(Anonymous) 2023-06-17 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I just realized that I have several fanvid playlists that I need to decide if I want to delete, curate, or add to my main "other shows" list. Because I've not watched Sherlock or Supernatural in years and I don't really know if I need those 3 playlists. Lol. At least they are private.

I once had great pleasure going through my old MCU bookmarks on AO3 and deleting all bookmarks for stories that I didn't absolutely love. Petty af but I was really pissed at the time that the MCU, which I wasn't even in anymore, was the fandom with the most bookmarks simply because of how huge it was.

No, I don't. I don't even delete the downloaded fanfiction that I liked because YOU NEVER KNOW.
But particularly for fanvids I just migrate them on different private playlist and sometimes binge watch them because even if I'm not in those fandom anymore I still enjoy them and make me happy. :)

Funny, I don't delete any downloaded fic because yeah, you never knowwww. But I do delete bookmarks. Dunno why it's different in my brain.

Yup! I like to go through my bookmarks every now and then and reread or rewatch and if the joy isn't there I clean house and delete.

That's what I do, too!

Kind of - I think it depends on the fandom itself and how I moved on from it.
If its something I still kind of enjoy or have a fondness for, but am currently fixated on a different fandom; then I'll probably keep it on.
But if its a fandom I left on bad terms with (for example: I couldn't take the toxic part of the fandom anymore or the original source did something that somehow ruined the fandom aspect of it), then I'm definitely more likely to delete things without much regret.

With that said, I'm probably more likely to delete fanfics since I sometimes go through my bookmarks to see if anything has been deleted so I can clear out those notifications, and sometimes I'll read summaries or very old WIP and decide to get rid of them too along the way.

Nope. I even port my bookmarks and shit over from computer to computer as they die. I have bookmarks literally 15 years old that I haven't looked at in over a decade. I'm a digital hoarder (but, hey, at least it's better to hoard there than IRL)

Nope. Am digital hoarder. I never know if I'm going to get back into the fandom, or my brain will remember a scene from one of them and want me to read IT RIGHT NOOOOOW.
