He's my favorite Bond. I should give this movie another go as I couldn't move past the SFX.

Just keep in mind that the script was written by a man who was script editor for the Adam West Batman. If you're down with that, you'll enjoy it.

This is how I feel about Gary Oldman in The Hitman's Bodyguard. (Sue me - I like corny action movies). Everyone else in that movie knows they're in a Samuel L. Jackson/Ryan Reynolds vehicle, and Gary Oldman is in a completely different, serious drama about fucking ethnic cleansing. It's amazing.

i love the hitman's bodyguard too, it's hilarious and 100% agree with you about gary oldman. everyone else is so unserious and he's... mutherfucking gary oldman.

... is that Brian Blessed in the background, wearing golden wings, a winged helmet and a short leather tunic? LOL!

(I've never seen Flash Gordon and had no idea what to expect from the background.)
