Someone made fun of me because when washing dishes, I put the knives on the side of the sink instead of the water. And I wash them individually instead of throwing them all in the water. They were like, "Lol, are you afraid of knives?" Like yeah, no shit I am.

They sound like the kind of people with useless, dull knives!

I have five siblings close in age, I've been made fun of for a lot of dumb shit in my life. And I'm sure I've given it right back to them.

Uh, duh!! You don't put knives down in the soapy water where you can't see 'em.....
(And you put them all point-down in the drainer!)

When I first got glasses as a kid, I got called four-eyes... by the other kid in class who wore glasses.

ICONIC. This happened to me, too.
The funny thing is that the other boy with the glasses was THE ONLY ONE who ever teased me about it for the entirety of my elementary school. And he started only after HE got glasses a couple of years after me (I got glasses at 5, he at 7 if I remember correctly). The fuck.

He probably thought nobody would make fun of him for wearing glasses if he was the first one to make fun of the other kid with glasses. If you're a potential target, make someone else a target before you become one.

I mean he'd been wearing them longer than me and I don't *recall* anyone making fun of him-- but it's not like I was with him all the time. I tended to avoid him as much as possible because he was the only boy in a fairly small school who I knew to be particularly vicious about making fun of other kids-- like, he WAS the bully, he just happened to wear glasses.

In the UK we wear school uniforms but usually one day a half term we could pay £1 to wear our own clothes for a day, the money would always go to a local charity, so I would save my favourite clothes to wear for that day. One year on the last own clothes day of the year a few kids tried to make fun of me for ‘wearing the same clothes’ as if washing machines weren’t a thing. I replied as such and it was one of the few times I got to make my bullies look like idiots.

Because who on earth thinks wearing clothes more than once is weird or dumb? Lol, they were such weird losers tbh.

One year my summer allergies were acting up badly so I brought some tissue packs to day camp to carry around with me, and a group of kids made fun of me. Not for having allergies, but for carrying tissues.

Maybe I should've put the tissues away and let my nose run freely for a while to teach them a lesson, but they probably would've just switched to making fun of me for that too, because you're damned if you do and damned if you don't when someone wants to make fun of you.

I don't know if it's cultural or I am just that lucky or I talk somehow funny. But couple of times when I was talking with my friend minding my own business standing to the side. There were this jerkasses who decided to repeat some of the words I were saying. Just wtf

Not smoking.

Everyone and their idiot brother suddenly suggested that smoking would make me skinnier and less uptight. Granted, this was during the seventies, but still...

Not being able to eat overly spicy food. Basically in the way of "lol look at the basic white bitch who can't handle spice". Doubly annoying because I actually LIKE spicy food but massive acid reflux problems run in my family and I'd rather not feel like wanting to claw my stomach and throat out thank you very much.

I love spicy food. I eat spicy food, but I moderate my intake because acid reflux. And it can get really bad.
So hearing all "haha basic white bitch thinks salt is a spice" makes me want to eat faces. Salted

The first time I went to the ob-gyn in my early twenties (general check up, I'm aroace and never felt the need to go before and just wanted to get the basics checked) he made fun of me for still being a virgin. I was already anxious as fick about the whole thing so getting made fun off didn't help. Needless to say I didn't go there again.

Mine didn’t make fun of me, but she didn’t believe me when I said I was a virgin and physically hurt me a lot more than necessary because of it.
