(Anonymous) 2023-06-25 06:05 am (UTC)(link)The actors have said they hated the costumes, because they were some kind of cheap, flimsy, paper-like fabric, designed to look like they were disposable. Also, because they had to wear them day after day. Also, because they didn't get to wear shoes. And also because the set was sterile and white and the costumes were sterile and mostly white and everybody was dressed the same, which made for a kind of monotony and lack of personal identity that was unpleasant over time. Which is to say, they were very well-designed costumes that achieved exactly the effect they were going for.
And of course they're being cosplayed like crazy; they're relatively cheap and easy to make (or buy). Also, a lot of people relish the chance to embody such a great part of such a great show.
