Thank you! They were reminding me of something a lot, but until you said it, I hadn't realized what that "something" was. And, while I actually like Kuroshitsuji, I have to agree with you about the designs being mostly unattractive. (I like Undertaker and Sebastian, design-wise, and sometimes Grell, but the stupid profusion of pinstripes and socks held up with little sock-garters and extremely short shorts - and yeah lol miniature hats! - just all puts me off.)

But I'm saving my primos for the Wanderer's rerun, anyway, so it's just as well that there aren't a lot of characters I expect to be looking longingly at, in between. And, like ... my brother's going to pull on the water archon for meta reasons, so if he lucks out, I'll get to see how that one's play-style works.

OP
Yeah, I'm mostly happy that I won't need to stress about having enough primos for any of the characters and can concentrate on reruns of characters I actually liked.

About the designs... like, it's very obvious that someone on the design team has a major fetish for naked thighs so I wasn't at all surprised that they went for the "teeny tiny shorts" thing for the majority of characters again. Once again, half of these characters look like they accidentally forgot to put on trousers before leaving the house in the morning, it's so silly. And the designs are always, always much too top-heavy to be any good.

And I know it's mainly a waifu game and I shouldn't be this salty but I refuse to pull for any more archons because the female to male ratio is so damn unbalanced.

Yeah, that's the upside when all the designs are ugly. I've gotten used to it, because I like the game but am repulsed by the pigeon-toed girl design that they repeat on literally every female model. I think some of the NPC women don't point their toes towards their crotch, but good grief: apparently every girl we follow around has to have deformed legs!

I'm not going to be able to unsee the notion that the new characters all left their house without pants, in Fontaine. But I like that better than just thinking they look dopey, so thank you.

As far as I'm concerned, you can be as salty as you want, anon. We've got Fontaine, Natlan, and Snezhnaya coming up, and as far as I know, all of those have already been described as having female archons. Personally, I'm not looking forward to more carceral-system-focused subplots. Because *Fontaine,* the land of water and ... "justice." Totally different from the land of contracts and the land of a deranged killer puppet running the government, yep, we're original here. But Dottore was fun, at least, and the Sumeru rainforest is probably the world-design I've enjoyed the most so far. So, who knows. They might surprise me.

The legs are generally a problem - the tall male models also have weird legs, the knees are in the wrong place/the thighs are much too long. It's kinda hilarious.

The "forgot their pants" is an issue with several characters, some look worse than others though. Like, I can't really take Kokomi seriously with her full outfit and... just some silk panties.

Yeah, all remaining Archons are female and ... 3-4 male/female would have been fine but 2-5 is a bit unbalanced for me. As for the plot... yeah. The Traveler has been a wanted criminal in every country so far and it's kind of getting old. I'm really curious about the whole "exploring underwater", hope it won't be a motion sickness inducing nightmare.

*nods* I was going with the stilt-ness and the lack of vertical symmetry on account of their sharing those distortions with just about the entire fashion design industry. Partly because I like Genshin's gay giraffes better than its (even more distorted) midget babygirls.

Pff. Yeah. But Kokomi's like ... show me one thing about this design that isn't utterly ridiculous. A monument to impractical costuming.

See, sneaking around and beating up the Millelith didn't bother me, and the writing for the war in Inazuma was solid enough. But we keep being roped into helping plainclothes police or detectives or doing Yelan's scutwork or catching that poacher who wanted exotic feathers (from a bird that we can kill by the thousands without anyone saying peep about it). And I'm like "nah. If those guys are too clever or tough for your mooks, you need to change your laws. Leave me out of it."
