I mean... the aspect of post-apocalyptic stories that attract a lot of people is the fantasy that they or any given ragtag group of people would somehow beat the odds and survive when the reality is that we'd all be screwed, able-bodied or not. I don't think people are imagining a world without disabled people, I think they're including disabled people amongst the group of people who'd survive somehow, against all odds, etc. because that's what they've done with themselves and people like them, who are able-bodied.
