Re: Least Favorite AO3 tag when searching fanfics?

I normally filter out

-walls of tags.
-Coffee Shop AUs in particular, but really all AUs that involve characters being stripped of their more-than-ordinary traits.
-stories that indicate they're drastically changing a central character: if I'm searching their name, them-but-female, them-but-mentally-ill, them-but-a-five-star-chef, them-but-with-a-kangaroo's-genitalia, etc., are probably nopes.
-crossovers.
-tag clusters that indicate navigating bureaucracy will be a major plot point.
-curtainfic, slow burn (especially the sort with auxiliary tags indicating you might die of old age before the author has the characters do something entirely tame), and kidfic.

... oh, and forced pregnancy. I like many dark tropes and I'll try reading almost anything, but that one seems to have had all the interesting parts washed out and become a magnet for random writers with anxiety and no clue about human physiology.

THANK YOU
I am not the only one who actually dislikes slowburn.
I don't mind it if it's a plot fic with side romance. But romance fics NO

"slow burn (especially the sort with auxiliary tags indicating you might die of old age before the author has the characters do something entirely tame)"

I laughed out loud because I'm writing something that fits this description exactly. But if I ever finish it, I'll be VERY upfront in the description/author's notes, so people won't bother to get invested if they don't want a slow, mild ride.
