Kinda agree and also I firmly believe that Rinoa - although not intentionally - accidentally used her sorceress powers to brainwash her chosen knight into a codependant emotional relationship because the romance is so abprupt and badly written that this is the only explanation for it.

...It's not as sudden as you think, but whatever floats your boat and misogynist ass on this. Squall likes Rinoa because she actually takes time to worry about him and finds his behavior alarming. She's the only one to actually seem to give a big enough fuck when he had his breakdown over hearing Seifer was executed (even tho he wasn't).

He basically goes from "oh god not her again" to "RINOA RINOA RINOA" in one damn scene and no amount of your pink glittery shipping goggles can justify that 180 with "yeah but she LISTENS to him once". I don't actually dislike Rinoa, despite the whole "harrassing someone and borderline stalking them is cute when done by a woman" issue, but the romance is shit writing, as is pretty damn common in Final Fantasy games, really.
