For sure, and I also agree that they are also too childish now. I miss thinking "Ratatouille" was going to be a silly kids' film about a rat getting into silly hijinks in the kitchen...only to walk out feeling so moved to create art and eat good food.

Instead, now, I mostly think, "It was good but...meh."

Ratatouille was the only classic Pixar movie I didn’t like. I wanted to, and I feel like everyone else loves it, but it just did not do it for me. I didn’t really like any characters except Remy. And I especially didn’t like the romance between Linguini and Janeane. At least the food was gorgeously animated!

I still think Ratatouille is league’s better than Cars and most Pixar movies that came out after that movie, which is where the company started to decline. So I think Ratatouille is very well-made, and I get why it’s beloved. I just don’t like it.
