LOATHE fireworks being set off in my neighborhood, and the neighbors love them. They start before it's even dark (sometimes *mid-afternoon*) and they go on forever. And we *definitely* also have combat vets in the neighborhood, as well as pets, so it just feels so fucking thoughtless? Like, go watch professionally done ones, where they might actually look good, instead of setting them off in the middle of the street!

Learned not to bother going out on the day of the fourth for anything because trying to drive home there will be people literally out in the middle of the street with them.

Yeah, people started setting them off around 8pm. It's not really dark until after 9pm, but it's fair game all weekend, unfortunately. I stay home and comfort the dog.
