Once I found a 100-page Rogue One coloring book (why that was a thing, I have no idea). Bodhi was on one page, in a group picture.

I feel like everyone I know who loved Rogue One always has to preface it with "I'm not a big Star Wars fan but..."

I mean it was a solid movie, I get the love.

I'm a SW fan and I love Rogue One, but I can understand why that one appeals to the non fans. It's a solid movie, and also it's basically a stand-alone. Yeah, it's a prequel to A New Hope, but as long as you have the general pop-culture knowledge of Star Wars that most people have, you're good.

Yeah, it's a lot more "war movie" than the Space Opera vibe of the original trilogy. Both are valid, but sometimes people are only going to enjoy one of them.

Hahaha I am one of those people. I don't like SW but Rogue One was solid. If you don't count uncanny valley Leia. I need to preface talking about Rogue One with disclaimer so people wouldn't talk with me about franchise that I actively dislike

People aren't doing it to be snobby. They're doing it so that SW fans won't take issue with them being "fake fans," or immediately launch into a comment that requires knowledge of the broader SW universe to understand.

Exactly!

I don't think it's snobby or a bad thing, just funny.

I loved that movie (which was a pretty darned good World War II adventure for a Star Wars movoe) and I am also bitter about the lack of Bodhi Rook merchandise. I looked for an action figure but could never find one.

He didn't even get a regular Funko release, to make it even more dismal. There were multiple droids and stormtroopers in the official Rogue One set, but Bodhi was a con exclusive and then only released as a bobblehead at I think Target or Walmart.

Whyyyyy??? He was such an appealing character. Damn.

Same anon-- I couldn't find this when I was looking but there *are* Bodhi action figures. And I am halfway tempted...

He was pretty awesome, yes, and pretty damn cute. :D
