I’m surprised by those two. Bionicle is pretty niche, and Transformers doesn’t seem as if it would be particularly appealing to reactionaries in its messaging.

I was a Star Wars fan. That was kind of a ground zero for this kind of thing, along with Ghostbusters.

All of the strange discourse in Transformers fandom these days seems to revolve around the supposed prefix "Trans". All the right wing weirdos are hyper focused on that.
