NGL, as a non-xtian, I always thought the "Christ spread-eagle on crosses in every tortured form imaginable" thing was a bit odd. I mean, once I figured out it wasn't actually supposed to be the visual equivalent of iddy whumpfic...

Is "iddy" a word you made up? I can glean the meaning of it, but I've only ever seen it as a word in anon comments on F!S and I'm wondering if it's all the same person using their own word.

Heh, nope. It's a pretty common word in my fannish circles, where idfic and the like is the norm, so I can only assume the same is true for other anons.
