Those are the worst sort of snide, I'm better than you claims the author, type of self insert fics and should be cleansed with fire. And, NGL, I just lost a little bit of respect for you for defending them.

And for what it's worth, I've seen some good fics in this genre, for canons that have promising characters but make them act dreadfully stupid. Not your thing? Fine. Lashing out at another person just because it's theirs? Really not fine anymore.

yikes this seems like projection. adding back in the type of things that the style ignores is basically pratchett's whole thing can be very fun and sometimes chaotic which is even better.
