that's because people are just using the music/lyrics straight up, not even chopping or screwing or anything which is probably the least interesting and least transformative use of sampling and frankly the most cynical. like if you're going to use nostalgia as if that's all that's necessary, not even let your lyrics do any commentary at all, yeah I'm going to listen to the original song.
