Yes, I believe this indicates that they care enough to find out, as here there are, having found out.

Can they not provide this image to any fandom interlocutor who questions their knowledge?

I'm pretty sure this was a comment in a 'Secrets you don't want to make...' post, so the secret maker would've had to have found the image, but the person whose comment was made into a secret wouldn't have to know anything but the name.
