Subjects you want to learn

What is something you'd love to learn about or learn more about if you had all the time in the world and whatever resources you needed to explore?

For me, I'd love to learn Spanish and then learn more languages too. I'm no good at it, but it would be super useful for work.

For something purely for fun, I'd love to either learn fencing or just learn every different ancient mythology and myth ever because they fascinate me and I'd love to learn more obscure things.

I'm with you on languages. It'd be useful in general.

Fencing is awesome! Are you thinking of sport fencing or HEMA?
I've trained HEMA with primarily onehand sidesword for two years and I'm starting to learn dual wield Italian sword as that is the specialty of our club.

Rock climbing! Or I'd love to learn a new language. I feel like if I had more time they are both reasonable, bit as is it feels impossible.

Wow, well actually I have a list.

- Playing an instrument, ideally electric guitar or keyboard - it's something I want to do sometime if life allows. Honestly I grew up thinking 'if I could play an instrument!! but I am too old" and life passed and I became older and older. But if I ever have enough time and resources...
- Programming - it IS my current goal, and has been for the past years but I haven't made much progress. To be fair I am great at programming logic because is a skill I learned at home as a kid but not being diligent or motivated enough those average "this is a string" classes BORE me. Soo I really need to start doing something that requires me to code and then I guess I will start making some actual progress. And there are a couple of things that I want to try it's just that I keep prioritizing other things.
- Languages - the one field I am making steady progress at because just being exposed to languages through media helps a lot. My ancestors' language for one, the one prevalent in my work field, and then Japanese because I am a freaking weeb are all on my todo list - again I haven't quite found the best method to learn them I just try random stuff.
- Drawing - if I could pick up any skill It's just NOT for me but ideally if I could be good at ANYTHING I would want to be good at drawing since I love looking at pretty art.

It would be easier to ask what I don't want to learn! Luckily my library has a subscription to the Great Courses, which I have been raiding shamelessly.

My latest kick has been the history of forensic science.

If I had all the time in the world and all the brain energy, there are so many things that I'd love to know.

I'm fascinated by the history of laws, criminal justice, and crime in general.

How to do online banking, all of it, all at once. It's only going to get more difficult and it seems I'm expected to know how to do it by osmosis or something.

knitting! i can only do crochet so far and knitting eludes me for some reason.

The violin or the piano. Would have loved to learn an instrument as a child but was told it was too expensive and i would change my mind.

I'd like to learn a non roman language - like hebrew, finnish, or mandarin. Maybe some greek. i already know french and japanese.

learn how to navigate the mundane household chores and a fulltime job as a single adult.

Good financial investing for retirement. Any sort of financial advisers seemed like scammers.

I'd love to learn another language. Right now I'm on Duolingo but I'm not steady about it.

I also want to get better at house keeping. I work full time, so I don't have a ton of energy but I wish I were *really* good at laundry. I'm expanding into laundry soda and such. It's boring but I want to be *good* at something I do all the time.
