I hate when fandom takes things that are clearly off the cuff jokes, or just little funny easter eggs or winks to the camera, and treats them with one hundred percent seriousness. As soon as a fandom starts taking a creator's joke seriously, it is time to get out the fandom. Looking at you Doctor Who and Star Trek in particular, but not only you.
