Winter Soldier is top of the list all day every day for me.

Def Winter Soldier. Back in the day I would have said the first Iron Man movie tied for best, but after going through them shoving Stark into every movie they could, I've soured on Iron Man.

I feel the same exact way. I loved Iron Man when it came out, and for years it might have even been one of my favorite movies. But now I a so sick of Tony Stark's face that I don't even really enjoy that movie anymore.

Unpopular opinion because of how things played out over the next fifteen years but I have to say Iron Man. It was a great movie: tightly plotted, perfectly cast, perfectly performed, beautifully filmed, and brilliantly edited.

Most of the MCU after the first Avengers is not as enjoyable for me. Avengers was good but not great. The irony here is that Tony Stark is a big part of why Avengers wasn’t great and the MCU as a whole stagnated.

I'm with you on Iron Man.

Unfortunately, yeah, they started with a bang and then never really surpassed it. 2008 Iron Man was a good movie in its own right, not good for a comic book movie.

I don't think saying you think Iron Man is the best MCU movie is unpopular most places. In fact, I think that's an extremely popular opinion among the general movie-going public, and a fairly popular opinion among general fandom nerds as well.

Winter soldier is absolutely the best in term of quality and story.

My second best is the first cap movie. It's just so goofy... But the standalone origin story of Steve is pretty strong! And the end is the best of any marvel movie imho. I love it.
It's the movie I've rewatched the most so far.

Winter Soldier absolutely, then followed by Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy.

My heart says Ant-Man and my head says Guardians of the Galaxy and saying either in certain fandom circles will get you killed and eaten.

Probably Winter Soldier, though I did enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy, but that might be because of the soundtrack. All those nostalgia feels.

I would have to say Captain America: the Winter Soldier, followed by Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man.

Idk what best is - but my personal favorites are the first two X-Men movies (the nostalgia) and Daredevil (its cheesy in an emo way with dramatic Evanescence playing in the backgroud *chefs kiss*). Also the first Spiderman movie...

TBH, my bias stems from being obsessed with Marvel in the 2000s lol. I don't mind some of the movies after the first Avengers movie - but I don't have any real emotional attachments to them either in the same way as the movies I had listed above.

I actually like Black panther (the first one, never seen the second). Despite CGI fails it was gorgeous

Tie between Iron Man and The Winter Soldier.

TWS knocks it out of the park, is the closest the MCU ever really gets to weighty, adult storytelling, and is full of killer moments. But Iron Man is sublime. It's lightning in a bottle, and an absolute delight to watch, even fifteen years and a dozen rewatches later.
