Different things affect different people in different ways.

Different things cause different kinds of anxiety in different people for different reasons.

Different people struggle with different tasks on different levels for different reasons.

Just because someone experiences anxiety at the idea of leaving a comment on a fic doesn't mean they experience anxiety at every IRL challenge that presents itself, and unless they say this is the case, there is no reason whatsoever to assume it does.

"Leaving comments on fic makes me anxious" doesn't mean "I am so riddled with anxiety I experience debilitating panic attacks every time I have to make a decision or step outside my front door". It means "leaving comments on fic makes me anxious".

While I may disagree with the overdiagnosing here, there is something to be said in that leaving comments used to be the base standard form of interaction and now there's like this social A.T. Field most people don't dare to break through. This isn't a callout to people who only leave likes\kudos\etc., I'm just wondering... what the hell happened in the past 15 years?

In my subjective judgment, there were several Marvel movies Black Widow was better than. I have seen 16 Marvel movies and I have a ranking list, Black Widow is solidly in the middle for me. What did you find so bad about it?

This is 100% how I feel about it, except I have a preference for Aztec.

Everything constantly focuses on sodding Roman/Greek/Norse, like ... do something else. Pick something different. Mesopotamian/Assyrian/Akkadian/Babylonian would be very cool, or Finnish, but I'd so love if something, just anything did something with the Aztec gods. There's just so little of it.

Maya and the Three touched on it (though mixed it heavily with the Mayan pantheon, which is also cool) but other than that? One book series I've found to satisfy that itch.

One.

Although that series is worth it, because I do enjoy the only Aztec god most people people know being an almost literal trashfire and abject asshole, I would like more.

The world is rich in mythology, yet everyone keeps going back to the tired ones.

I'd put Eternals ahead of BW in the worst Marvel Movie stakes, I agreewith you though BW is solid mid teir.

Saying I hated the Eternals would be an overstatement for me, I just found it so profoundly boring I would rather have watched a blank wall for 2 hours.

Eternals made the classic MCU blunder of making the most charismatic character the bad guy with Ikarus, and the rest of the cast were cardboard in comparison. Should have had their Superman character be the hero instead.

At a guess, I'd say a pretty high percentage of today's fandom weren't around 15 or even 10 years ago. A decent number are barely even old enough to have been alive that long, but even among older fans there's an increasingly large contingent of "discovering fandom now for the first time in my 30s/40s/50s".

I know I watched it. I just can't remember any part of it because absolutely nothing stood out.
