Yeah. I don't think you quite understand how this works. Authors frequently decline to read fanfic because they don't want to be legally vulnerable to accusations of plagiarism and copyright violations down the line. You can send all the crappy fanfic you want, if they don't read it and it's generally known that they don't read fanfic, they're fine.

In other words, you can't send crappy fanfic like casting a spell.

Criiiiiiinge.

Probably gets deleted on sight so /shrug sucks to be you I guess. So much effort for so little payout.

Yeah no shit, if some random jack-off sent me unsolicited fanfic to try and make me 'do what they wanted' in my story I'd do the opposite, or continue what I was doing just to spite that particular person.

This is a really pretty cat! :)

(Anonymous) 2023-07-24 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
It is! Ruddy Abyssinian, I think?

(Anonymous) 2023-07-25 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe! The face looks to have a different complexity tho, so maybe a light mix? (Or maybe just cat face scrunch)

Adorable! And hilarious with the secret.

(Anonymous) 2023-07-24 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
lol how do we know your version of events would be any better op? arrogant much?

(Anonymous) 2023-07-24 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I think you've missed the point. It doesn't have to be better than the author - OP is hoping that simply by writing a specific premise (that they don't like and don't wish to see), the author will be put off the idea completely and not write it. That's also kind of batty and wrong, but there you have it.

(Anonymous) 2023-07-24 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
That's...a little crazy, OP.

But also, they are definitely, definitely not reading what you're sending them.

(Anonymous) 2023-07-24 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
lol

I get the idea, and it's kinda funny, but no, it doesn't quite work like that.

(Anonymous) 2023-07-25 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
It hasn't worked because they just don't look at it, at all, ever. Have you tried writing spite-fic instead? I find it pretty satisfying when I really hate a canon development.

I cannot FATHOM thinking it *would*?? Like you really just misunderstood everything here, you've been wasting a lot of time and effort thinking about things you hate instead of writing fix-it fics about how you WANT things to be, for fun and enjoyment, and I'm sorry that that's how things have been for you. Like I want feel for you but I'm also sitting here thinking 'Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.'
