Yeah, me, too. And the fact that they name all their kids names that start with "J" is what freaks me out the most. Is that weird? But I mean, seriously, you'd think they'd run out of names or something.

I'm all for big families and everything, but they seem less like a family and more like a franchise. It's creepy.

No. The Duggars have a TV show and they have eighteen kids. When Michelle was pregnant with baby number eighteen, the show was called 17 Kids and Counting.

Their oldest child's wife is pregnant, so I guess that's where the "And Counting" part comes in.

I feel the same way. I know that their religious beliefs are extreme, but they don't push them on the show or anything. They just seem like such kind, happy people.

THIS. I think that the Duggars look like a happy and surprisingly tranquil family, which I really like about them. When the episode about the grandfather dying was on, I wanted to give 'em all a huge hug.

Jon and Kate Plus 8? The mother's a bitch, and she doesn't seem to be able to pay nearly as much attention or show as much love to her eight children as Mrs. Duggar can lavish on her eighteen children. I feel bad for her husband and kids :[

Never seen the show, but I've read a lot about them... And tbh they just give me cool story ideas about big families

I do wish that they would think about overpopulation (maybe ADOPT rather that continuing to produce more and more and MORE? But I wonder about that with everyone that has a lot of kids.) but ultimately, they don't bother me. Their life. At least they're not out picketing and being jerks.

I don't remember which kid it is, but I love watching the girl that you just know is going to book it the second she turns 18.

IA. Everyone makes fun of Michelle for just being a baby maker or whatever, but she's so damn sweet I don't know how anyone can seriously hate her. And it's not like their family out picketing abortion clinics or throwing rocks at gay people, or even pushing their beliefs on people. They just seem so happy with their lives and what they have, not going on free vacations and wanting free shit all the time like JK+8.

I find them a bit alarming, but hey, if you can afford to have all those kids, then go for it. Isn't it true they're not in debt? And they actually appear to care about their kids, unlike another show I could mention. So...why not.

I was thinking about this the other day. They seem like such nice people. You can disapprove of the parent's choices, sure; but don't hate on them unreasonably.
They aren't overzealous or obnoxious in their faith, from what I've seen.

Just one more reason i'm glad I have an IUD and the possibility of getting my tubes tied. *shudders*

I really like the Duggar family. The mother and father both seem like such sweet, happy people, and they don't shove their religion down people's throats. They're not in debt and can obviously afford to support them so hey, I say go for it! Mrs. Duggar pays more attention and is more loving to her nearly twenty children than a certain other famous is to "only" eight--again, they seem to be thriving on the large family atmosphere, so why not?

(I wouldn't care for it myself, just having a twin sister for a sibling, but again, whatever floats or sinks your boat.)

I love that show so much. I think they're much better people than certain other reality families. Whenever I profess my love for the show IRL, people look at me like I'm nuts. At least the Duggars aren't living off of their children and cheating on each other.

I saw an interview of them on the Today Show some years ago. The couple seemed very sweet and the children were so well-behaved. Still though... 18 kids. D8 I don't think I can even handle one. Best of luck to them! And on their behalf, I'm getting my tubes tied. XD

They seem very sweet and I enjoy watching the show as well.
But the reason i enjoy watching it is because I'm wondering which of the kids are going to move far away or be kicked out because they are athiests/homosexual.
