She had so little relevance to the plot. She was just there to remind everyone the viewpoint character was het. That was it. Remove her and replace the character with a labradoodle and you'd barely have to change anything.

Chuck, the bumbling comic relief, had the same plot impact. I wonder if her character was even in the script from the start at all

Ah Biggles, in the climax the Ww1 pilot got transported to the 80s to be with his soul mate, and he managed to perfectly fly an 80s aircraft, first time with no problems. How ridiculous is that? Thank goodness Hollywood would never do that thing again, only even more dumb.

I seem to remember he had a few problems with a helicopter and nearly flew it into Tower Bridge.leading to the immortal line, "If you can fly a Sopwith Camel you can fly anything!" Which I believe is more or less true.
