Gong Jun is just exquisite as Wen Kexing in Word of Honor. I've got mixed feelings about the series and really wish it had a bigger budget so the ending didn't trainwreck like that, but it had some excellent moments.

Sometimes the cheesiest shows have the most oddly touching scenes. For me it was Old Doctor Who and Mel's departure. 100% cardboard show and character, yet it still made my eyes damp.

I think this show was really good at building up the relationships through all the seasons to a believable amount of intimacy and I wish more messy shows would do this so that they can bring some satisfaction to the audience when it ends because at least that part is earned.

Ah Biggles, in the climax the Ww1 pilot got transported to the 80s to be with his soul mate, and he managed to perfectly fly an 80s aircraft, first time with no problems. How ridiculous is that? Thank goodness Hollywood would never do that thing again, only even more dumb.

Hmm, but YA doesn't actually make those types of characters the (endgame) love interest very often? They always have a popular fan following that wishes they were the love interest, but in canon the heroine is more likely to end up with the Nice Boy.
