Reading these comments has made me feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

Tumblr fandom hated Jyn, and still hates her, for daring to talk back to the men. They aren't upset that she's "flat;" they're upset that she dared to get mad at Cassian for betraying her. They mock her for being upset about watching her father die. They say she's a racist and an ungrateful cunt. They say that while it's "commendable" she died to steal and transmit the Death Star plans, that deed can't wipe out the unforgivable sin of saying, "it's not a problem if you don't look up."

I don't know about GNC, but I do know that she is absolutely hated as some kind of poster child for the evils of White Feminism by people who forgive Cassian every sin they pin on her.

Anon, I don't think there's many people who frequent fandomsecrets who give tumblr blogs that make up reasons to be offended on behalf of fictional PoC the time of day. A fair proportion of the people who hang out here don't feel at home on Tumblr at all, and wouldn't even know what people ranted about over there. So it makes sense to me that if they have a problem with her here, it's not the one you've already heard. Doesn't mean anyone's crazy.
